Accessibility is a priority reflected within the Telford and Shropshire LVEP Growth Plan, which commits to implementing an accessibility support programme for businesses across Telford and Shropshire.

The Telford and Shropshire LVEP are working with VisitEngland and AccessAble to develop a business support programme to empower and enable businesses with the skills and tools to make sure our destination and your attractions, venues and services are champion inclusivity and enhanced accessibility. By removing barriers to participation whether physical, sensory, or attitudinal businesses can welcome a wider and more diverse customer base, including families with young children, older travellers, and people with disabilities.

Business resources will be available soon and will include toolkits and documents shared through LVEP workstreams and guidance supplied by partners and national bodies working to improve inclusive practice. These materials aim to help visitor facing organisations understand standards, improve access to facilities and experiences, and align with wider LVEP activity in sustainability, business support and destination development.
